Pros and cons of RecipeCloud app for iPhone and iPad

RecipeCloud app good for

Update: I am updating my review because of the great customer service I received. After sending a note to the developer, he immediately replied and worked on my account. It was updated and repaired within 24 hours. I do not have use FB to log in either. All without any loss to my recipe books. Everything is working fine again, and Recipe Cloud is my go to clip and save recipe organizer again. I have used this app for a couple of years now and it has been my go to "clip and save" recipe organizer for a while. However, lately there are a lot of issues with it, such as: -can only use the app if Facebook is active. Even though there is a user name and password you cant log in if you deactivate FB. I went through several cycles of re-setting my password and nothing work until I turned on FB and agreed to share my friends list. - keep getting error message that my email is wrong, (which its not since they sent me the password rest to it), so I can see my recipes but cant edit or save new ones - supposed to be in app purchase for PRO version, either .99 or 9.99 but dont see any description of what these will do. Overall this was a great app that has gotten progressively more unstable and difficult to use (sigh). Hoping it gets fixed but I dont think I want to rely on it anymore.
You can copy and save a recipe from a website, then edit the ingredients or directions to suit your personal preferences. I like my recipes broken down into steps that are easy to follow. Recipe Cloud lets me do that. The recipe can be filed in a category of my choice, and shared or kept private if I wish.

Some bad moments

This was a good app to keep all of my recipes organized and it was free to start! Now that I updated the app I have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription! So irritating! I understand having to pay for the app but I do not want to pay monthly or yearly!
I was so excited to use this app and I actually sat down and invested a bit of time thinking about recipes, searching for recipes, and entering them into the app only to find that I could only store up to 10 recipes for free. It then prompted me to pay for a subscription to continue add more recipes. This is a beautiful and well-made app but personally, it isnt worth it for me to pay $0.99/month when there are other apps out there that do the same thing and will only charge a one time price ranging from $1.99 to $4.99.
Adding a recipe from a website is easy, but the formatting is poor and doesnt space things out properly. If you want to add your own recipe, youve got to cut and paste or type it in manually. The recipes disappear until you shut down and reopen the app, and if you create a folder, they dont appear unless you restart it. Deleted it after a few tries.
I thought this would be a one stop to recipes right on my iPad however this app is the in between, between you and different websites. Most recipes on this site are just a photo and when you click on it for the recipe it tells you to visit another site for the recipe... Then there are "recipes" with just a photo, no website, no recipe. Then there are recipes with no photo but the recipe... The photo is what catches my attention... Still on the hunt for the right app... This one seems more like a cuisine photo app then recipe app..
This app is just what I was looking for! Im always finding recipes on various websites and either have to bookmark the page or email it to myself to try to keep track of all the ones I like and want to use again. With this app I can pull all the information from those online recipes and store them in my own custom cookbook for easy access and reference! If you have your own recipes that you want to add you can add those manually; so youre not limited to pulling recipes from the web. Great app, that I will definitely keep forever.
Finally, an easy way to keep track of my favorite recipes online. I like the optional social features. Id like to be able to ask questions and post tips.
